After 8 months...Steve comes home this Friday. :) :) :)

We are trying to think of ways to thank the hospital staff and would appreciate your ideas. You can post them here or email me at lindapercha@gmail.com

Some may question if Steve is ready to come home. I'll leave you with this quote;
Laura "Steve are to ready to go home?"

Steve "HHHHEEELLLLLLL YYYYEEESSSSS" as loud as I ever heard it!

It has been a long road from February 17th to now. There have been a flood of emotions during this course. We have all learned something from Steve's journey, I have learned that prayer DOES work! We have learned also to appreciate what we have before us, and to acknowlege our love for not only the elder ones in our families, but also the young.

God has brought forth many people into this journey that Steve has endured and continues on; therapists, doctors, and nurses. Both in Maryland and Michigan. Their skills, Steve's desire to "drive to the hoop", and all of the prayers presented on Steve's behalf have worked miracles. I thank you all for your intercessions.

Friday is the big day. The end of another chapter in this journey to recovery. However, there is more work to be done, and more prayers to be prayed. May we all continue to learn from this experience, and hold close to our hearts those we love. Remember to say I love you and give thanks to those who make a difference in your lives. Steve I have good feelings on what yet is to come. Continue to believe in yourself and give thanks to God on what you've accomplished thus far. Onward!

What a wonderful day it will be. To see how God has performed miracles for Steve. "With God all things are possible" Steve is living proof of that. Please continue to keep everyone up to date on the wonderful progress he is making once you get home. Im sure he will move mountains soon!

Maloure...you are always on our minds, also. When we left Suburban we said we'd walk back in with Steve someday to visit, and we plan to keep that promise! Please say hi to everyone for us. You all hold, and will always hold, a special place in our hearts.

Love,
Linda

Steve,

Today is your day !!!!!!

All of Georgia celebrates your homecoming.

The images that I have, from those first days in Suburban, to now your stepping foot into your own home show what miracles are made of. More importantly though, today shows what YOU are made of.

The inspiration you provide remains as strong as ever. We wish we were there to take part as you say goodbye to the countless number of folks at U of M Hospital that provided you endless care and support during your journey.

What a story !!!!!

Chapter 1: The Darkest Days
Chapter 2: On Familiar Ground
Chapter 3: I'm Home
Chapter 4: starts today Steve

Be strong Steve. We are all so proud of you.

Love,
Uncle Rick, Aunt Cheryl, Alyssa, Alexis and Ryan

WOW! Today I witnessed one of the most wonderful things EVER! Aunt Gail and I were at the Percha house for Steve's arrival home. Well, once unloaded and somehwat settled in, Linda said "watch this", and she backed up a bit, and Steve walked to her UNAIDED!!! I lost it! All I could think is GOD IS GOOD! This was a GREAT DAY!

Peace,
Uncle Don

Linda,
I drove by the house yesterday and saw all the balloons...I knew it was a good day. Happiness filled my heart knowing you were bringing your son home.

Zowie, wowie!!! YES Steve IS HOME!:-)
Whether by the miracles of modern medicine, or the miracles of Steve's determined mind, and/or the miracles of his family's support, the ultimate miracle is -- Steve did it! All the praying in the world, great, but again it was Steve who had to do it! And STEVE DID IT, STEVE MADE IT HOME!! KUDOS to Steve and Family.
